Hikes
Rue Hodiamont
The chalets sit right at the edge of a long‑distance hiking trail (GR), making them an ideal starting point for varied walks — all without needing to take the car.
Lace up and head out — the marked trails start right at your door, winding boldly through forests, open pastures, and rolling green valleys. From Rue Hodiamont, several 5 to 15 km loops set off in every direction, ready for you to tackle on foot or by mountain bike. All you have to do is choose your path and let the adventure begin.
Gileppe Dam
Just 20 minutes from the chalets, the Gileppe Dam is a magical spot for a full day in nature. An impressive lake surrounded by deep forests, well‑marked walking and cycling trails (4 to 15 km loops), a panoramic tower with free access, and even a treetop adventure course for the boldest explorers. You can rent bikes, enjoy a meal on site, or simply pause by the water and let the landscape do the rest.

Hautes Fagnes Nature Park
About 30 minutes away, the Hautes Fagnes reveal a vast natural plateau of heathlands and peat bogs, crossed by wooden boardwalks that guide you through the wetlands. A mysterious and soothing landscape, perfect for year‑round adventures — even snowshoeing in winter. Many well‑marked trails start from Baraque Michel or from the Botrange Nature Center.
A delicious stop is highly recommended at The Peak (near the Signal de Botrange): local cuisine, a spacious terrace, and a stunning view over the Fens.

The Chalet of Pont de Belleheid
This peaceful spot is located in La Gleize (Stoumont), about a 20‑minute drive from the chalets.
The Pont de Belleheid overlooks the Hoëgne River as it winds its way through rocks, cascades, wooden footbridges, and enchanting woodland.
A loop trail of 8 to 12 km leads you through a fairytale landscape in every season. Perfect for a family walk or a picnic surrounded by nature.
Not to be missed: the Léopold II waterfall and the golden reflections of the river in the evening light.
